Your chance to win a free safari when registering for a Nurses In Action program this month!
In celebration of International Nurses Day this month, not for profit organisation World Youth International are giving all nurses a chance to win a free 3-day safari when they register for the upcoming Nurses In Action program.
With the ability to accumulate CPD hours on the Nurses In Action programs, volunteers have more opportunities than ever to develop their skills, working alongside local health professionals within vulnerable communities to inspire change where its most needed.
Nearly a dozen nurses from across Australia will already be travelling to Odede in Western Kenya this August for the Nurses In Action overseas volunteering program, and there is room for more! Finally recommencing after a two-year hiatus due to travel restrictions, World Youth International’s General Manager recognised the need to celebrate accordingly.
“We at World Youth International know first-hand just how powerful one person can be, and are continuously blown away by the courageous and selfless actions of Nurses across the globe, and in particular on our volunteer programs. We can't wait to welcome everyone back on our volunteer programs, especially the 80 nurses who have patiently been waiting for the past two years for the borders to reopen so that they can embark on their journey of a lifetime,” shares Terry Hoey, General Manager, World Youth International.
“It is a testament to the strength of World Youth International that, as a charity, we have been able to navigate our way through the last few years. We are a resilient, adaptable organisation that has proven once again that we are here for the long run. Being able to offer the opportunity for our nurses to not only go on a unique and immersive volunteer program, but for them to also experience one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in the world, is fitting.”
World Youth International has been sending volunteers to Kenya since 1992. They have an impeccable safety and security record with an extensive range of policies in place to ensure all volunteers have an amazing experience overseas and return home safely. Many nurses want to combine their passion for helping others with their desire to see the world, and choose the Nurses In Action program so that they can be part of a group. Volunteers on the Nurses In Action program can continue to enjoy the comfort of knowing that absolutely everything is organised for them while they participate in a diverse range of experiences and placements, all under the guidance and support of a trained Australian team leader.
The 3-day safari adventure in the Masai Mara Game Reserve will occur upon completion of the Nurses In Action program. Read more about the safari and the competition’s terms and conditions here.
