World Youth International are proud to launch a new program, Healthcare Heartbeat, which aims to solve some of the many challenges that our healthcare system is currently facing as a result of the pandemic.

Healthcare Heartbeat brings together a range of essential services tailored for our healthcare workers under one united banner. Through Healthcare Heartbeat, healthcare professionals can access mental fitness training, self-development courses, access to crisis lines, career development, coaching, mentoring, retreats, overseas nursing placements, accommodation getaways and meal delivery services.

Healthcare Heartbeat: the pulse of our nation will be operating as a new subsidiary of the respected Australian charity, World Youth International. Working with Australian healthcare professionals since 2005 has given World Youth International a great insight into the sector and the challenges that our healthcare professionals face on a daily basis. It’s this experience, combined with the professionalism and reputation of all of those at World Youth International within the healthcare industry, which meant the launch of Healthcare Heartbeat was inevitable and a natural transition for the organisation.

“I interviewed a range of healthcare professionals working within covid-stricken communities to get a better sense of their workplace challenges and noted that there are much higher levels of anxiety, workplace stress, burnout, and communication breakdowns amongst healthcare staff than ever before. This is having a significant flow on effect to their families, home life and their mental well-being,” highlights Terry Hoey, General Manager, Healthcare Heartbeat.

“The pressures on our healthcare system and the impact this is having on our frontline workers continues to rise each day. I decided it was time for change and felt it is our responsibility as an Australian charity to contribute to a solution, and facilitate a program that allows businesses, families and individuals to give back to these courageous healthcare heroes.”

Healthcare Heartbeat’s website has launched, and throughout the next few months, the organisation will be campaigning to capture the imagination and interest of all Australians, showcasing the many opportunities to be involved in a vital and life-changing service that aims to inspire positive change to a workforce at breaking point.

Through Healthcare Heartbeat, nurses and other healthcare professionals who have been significantly impacted by Covid-19 will be able to register for sponsorship packages. Suitable applicants will be paired with a sponsor who will fund their journey with Healthcare Heartbeat. They will be allocated tokens to spend on the website allowing them to access advertised services for free or at a discounted rate. It will be the gift that keeps on giving, with a range of additional services and products to be added over coming months and beyond.

A number of reputable organisations within various industries across Australia have already jumped on board to support this innovative initiative, joining Healthcare Heartbeat's Partnerships Program. Announcements regarding these partnerships and collaborations will be made throughout the beginning of 2022, so follow the Healthcare Heartbeat social media platforms to keep your finger on the pulse. The Partnership Program offers a variety of ways for organisations to officially partner with Healthcare Heartbeat. To register your interest and receive a Partnerships Proposal, click here.

All donations received will be used to support Healthcare Heartbeat initiatives within Australia as well as World Youth International’s global projects. Watch the video for more insights into this program here!
