World Youth International are proud to announce that Coral Healthcare/Moment Condoms have committed to an ongoing partnership with our organisation, which will enable hundreds of students within Kenya access to sexual health education workshops during upcoming Nurses In Action programs. To celebrate, a portion of sales made on the Moment’s website, will be donated to World Youth International during this week’s STI Awareness Week (9-15 April 2023).

Over the past decade, teams of Australian health professionals who participate in World Youth International’s Nurses In Action volunteer program have treated over 10,000 patients from remote villages in Kenya and provided health education across the communities. In December last year, a group of Nurses In Action volunteers facilitated Moment’s Sexual Health Education Workshops for over 200 students within vulnerable communities. The interactive workshops were held at High Schools in western Kenya where Coral Healthcare’s key product ‘Moments Condoms’ premium latex condoms were then distributed to students. Product distribution was accompanied by an educational session on best practice use and the importance of safe sex, and gave the nurses the opportunity to dispelled myths that continue to spread in the communities.

Coral’s ongoing contribution will go towards providing approximately 500 teenagers access to Moments Sexual Health Education Workshops throughout the next few months. Furthermore, two "Living with HIV" Education Sessions will run at World Youth International’s Odede Community Health Centre in Kenya.

Based in Melbourne, Coral Healthcare leverages their industry position in sexual health and wellness to communicate with local leaders and change makers in various communities.

“We are proud to partner with World Youth International to help make a difference to the health and wellbeing of vulnerable communities within Kenya,” said Coral Healthcare’s Managing Director Nikhil Daftary.

“Our products play a lead role in our global community in many ways, and we believe it’s our duty to help create a better world for everyone. We are passionate about empowering both men and women everywhere to celebrate and protect their sexual health. We chose to partner with World Youth International as our organisations both value the importance of providing ongoing education in sexual health and HIV prevention education. World Youth’s efforts within Kenya is evident, and we are excited to now be involved in their mission.”

“World Youth International are grateful for Coral Healthcare’s ongoing support,” said World Youth International’s Partnerships Director Gabriella Ocenasek.

“Their generous contribution will allow underprivileged students to receive such crucial information that will hopefully lead them to make safer choices. The feedback we received at last year’s Sexual Health Education Workshops by our Nurses In Action Volunteers highlighted just how vital this initiative is. The Nurses felt that they got their messages across to the students, and it was fulfilling to be able to provide these groups up to date comprehensive education that broke down stigmas. The students were engaged, interacted by asking questions, and enjoyed the condom demonstrations. Our next Nurses in Action group are looking forward to the opportunity to run these impactful Sexual Health Education Workshops for the students over there in coming months and beyond.”

Coral Healthcare manufacture latex condoms (under their own brand name MOMENTS, which is sold in Coles Supermarkets), ultrasound probe covers and nitrile examination gloves, sterile gloves and ultrasound gel, aspire to have a profound and positive impact on sexual health, relationships and families in all the communities they serve.
