Education is more than a pathway, it’s a promise - of opportunity, equality, and lasting change. At World Youth International, we’ve seen how access to quality education can transform not just a child’s life, but the future of entire families and communities.
Through the Education Pathways Sponsorship Program and the Sapana Dreaming Centre for Humanity, that promise is being fulfilled every single day. Thanks to the incredible reputation of the WYI School and the generosity of our sponsors and partners, nearly 800 students - including 17 residing at the Centre, are thriving in safe, supportive and inspiring learning environments.
Many of these children come from families who face financial and social barriers that once made education seem out of reach. But today, because of this support, they are attending school, achieving outstanding academic results and dreaming bigger than ever before.
Together, we’re not just opening classroom doors, we’re unlocking potential, nurturing confidence, and building a brighter, more equitable future for generations to come.

These results showcase the powerful impact of education when combined with opportunity, guidance and care.

Beyond the Classroom: Enriching Minds and Building Confidence
Learning at the WYI School extends well beyond academics. Students are encouraged to explore creativity, leadership and teamwork through cultural and extracurricular activities.
Highlights include:
- Success in various competitions including chess, folk dance, essay, speech and quizzes, at both local and valley-wide levels.
- Securing 2nd and 3rd place in inter-school chess tournaments.
- Participation in the 8th NISAN Folk Dance Competition.
- Inter-house contests in debate, poetry, reading and quizzes, fostering collaboration, confidence, and critical thinking.

Sports and Physical Development
Physical activity plays an essential role in shaping not only healthy bodies, but also resilient minds and strong communities. At the WYI School, we see sport as a vital part of our students’ growth - teaching them discipline, perseverance, teamwork and respect for one another.
From the thrill of competition to the camaraderie shared on the field, our sports initiatives bring students together and encourage them to push beyond their limits.
- Active participation in football, cricket, and inter-house sports events continues to foster teamwork and school pride, with top performers recognised with medals and prizes for their achievements.
- The annual inter-house marathon is a highlight of the school calendar, promoting fitness, determination, and a sense of shared accomplishment among participants.
- Our sports meet brings together students from all grades in a celebration of athleticism, friendship, and fun, creating a day filled with energy, skill-building, and lasting memories.
Through these activities, students are not only developing their physical abilities but also learning valuable life lessons in leadership, resilience and unity, qualities that will empower them far beyond the classroom.

Field Trips and Excursions: Learning Through Experience
We believe that some of the most meaningful lessons happen beyond the classroom walls. Field trips and excursions allow students to connect what they learn in school with the world around them - deepening their understanding of culture, history and the environment while fostering curiosity and personal growth.
These experiences help students build confidence, strengthen friendships and develop a greater appreciation for their community and country. Each journey is thoughtfully designed to be both educational and memorable.
- The 2081 Nepali Year (2025) class embarked on an inspiring educational tour, which included a special visit to the sacred Muktinath Temple. This experience enriched their cultural and spiritual understanding and encouraged reflection and gratitude for Nepal’s rich heritage.
- Picnic programs across all grade levels offered students the chance to relax, play and connect outside the classroom, building bonds, laughter and lasting memories that strengthen the school community.
- Students also enjoyed visits to significant cultural landmarks, including Panchha Mahaaxmi Temple and Kolmateshwor Temple, where they learned about local traditions and religious practices.
- A trip to the zoo provided a fun, hands-on learning experience, sparking curiosity about wildlife, ecosystems and the importance of environmental conservation.
Through these excursions, our students discover that education is everywhere, in nature, in culture, and in shared experiences that inspire them to see the world through a broader, more compassionate lens.

Health and Life Skills: Building a Foundation for Wellbeing
True learning encompasses mind, body, and heart. At the WYI School, we support students to grow holistically - building resilience, confidence, and the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Our recent health and wellbeing initiatives have empowered students to better understand and care for their own physical and mental health:
- The Menstrual Hygiene Management program introduced sanitary pad disposal machines, promoting dignity, hygiene and awareness among our female students.
- HPB vaccinations for girls aged 12 and above, along with a dental camp reaching nearly 600 students, have played a crucial role in improving long-term health outcomes and preventing disease.
- A series of life skills workshops on personal safety, stress management, yoga and motivation for Grades 8-10 equipped students with practical tools to manage emotions, build self-awareness, and maintain a positive mindset.
Through these initiatives, our students are learning that wellbeing is more than just physical health - it’s about caring for the mind, nurturing confidence and developing the strength to face life’s challenges with courage and optimism.

Creating Change Beyond the Classroom
Through community-focused programs and outreach initiatives, we’re not only educating young minds but also helping to build stronger, more compassionate communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Our initiatives are helping to build more equitable, compassionate and empowered communities through:
- Women’s empowerment programs, encouraging confidence, independence and leadership among young girls and women.
- Positive thinking and peaceful society workshops, promoting kindness, empathy, and social harmony.
- Expanding scholarship opportunities for less fortunate and remote-area students, ensuring that financial hardship never stands in the way of a child’s education.
Together, these programs reflect our belief that education should not only shape the mind but also inspire the heart. Through every lesson and every act of service, the WYI School is nurturing a generation of compassionate, capable young leaders who will carry forward the values of respect, equality and hope, driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
