Jock Green
Hi, my name is Jock and I am 18 years old.
In January I am going to volunteer in the village of Yala in Kenya for 5 weeks. During that time I will work in a variety of placements including volunteering at a local school, hospital, school for children with disabilities and a nursery for babies that are HIV positive.
If I can raise the funds I'm also aiming to develop a construction-based project that would benefit the community of Yala, such as a house for a single mother with children.
World Youth International and the GAP program was suggested to me by a friend as an experience to help make a difference.
Since then I have been passionate about undertaking this journey and helping out others less fortunate than myself in any way I can.
Any contribution (tax deductible) that you can make would mean so much and would help me realise this ambition.
If we manage to exceed my fundraising target, any additional money would be donated directly back to World Youth International for future project funding.
