Terry has been part of the WYI team since 1996 and currently manages our office and volunteer programs. He is one of the founding family members of WYI and is proud to represent WYI and the Hoey family.

Kenya Projects Manager

Celia is an international development project manager and has worked on major projects across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Kenya and Cambodia. She has been working with WYI since the planning and launch of the Odede Community Health Centre in 2013, and continues to manage this and WYI's other projects in Kenya.

Co-ordinator - Kenya Child Sponsorship

As a semi-retired HR professional I'm constantly learning from my volunteer role as administrator for orphan sponsorship in Kenya. Our partners in Kenya, The Mango Tree provide education and family support to enable the children to become self-reliant, responsible young adults, who can contribute to their communities and 'be the change' for future generations. Our sponsors also gain a greater understanding of life in Kenya and the programs focussed on education, health (HIV), clean water, sanitation, micro-enterprise, sustainability and community building.

Joanna Giles from HOG Heaven Charity Foundation has been supporting the people of Nepal since 1999 and is the proud Patron of The Sapana Dreaming Children's Home in Gokarne.

Mark Veitch
Chairman

Mark is an entrepreneur and a leader in sales and management in the Asia Pacific. With a particular focus on business start ups, Mark has assisted a number companies such as KVS and Big Fix to establish their footprint in APJ and then ultimately worked with them to integrate at the time of acquisition. In this process he has held Director and Vice President positions with major multi nationals including Wyse, Veritas, Symantec and IBM. Mark is CEO and Founder of Defining Social Pty Ltd, a distributor of security, management and risk mitigation software, and Founder of Your Social Village Pty Ltd.

Ralph Hoey AM

Ralph is a founding member of WYI and has previously worked as finance manager and major projects coordinator for over 20 years with our organisation. In 2004 Ralph became the first Australian to be awarded the Order of Nepal, the Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, for humanitarian services performed in Nepal. In 2006 he was awarded the Order of Australia AM by the Governor General of Australia, His Excellency Michael Jeffery, for humanitarian services overseas.

Cindy Angel

After 10 years as a Management Consultant and Learning Development Manager, Cindy made the transition to working with not for profit and non-government organisations. Cindy has worked with WYI since 2007 in various capacities, developing office policies and procedures, successfully implementing WYI's first four programs to Cambodia and taking on a coaching and mentor role at PEP. Since her transition, Cindy has also worked with Oxfam Australia and is currently working for AVI while completing her Masters in Social Change and development.

Kathryn Anderson

Kathryn is the editor of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Journal that is read by over 96 thousand nurses, midwives and universities across the country. Her qualifications include an Arts Degree, Majoring in Journalism and a Nursing Degree. Prior positions include public relations officer for the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (SA Branch) and part time journalist for Link Disability Magazine and other freelance assignments. Kathryn is also a registered nurse and has extensive experience in nursing and middle management in both public and private hospitals.

Georgie Evangelou

Georgie is a senior HRM professional with 20+ years' experience applied in multiple industries, sectors, locations and HRM functions. She has extensive experience in contemporary HRM practice in the international development sector, including Head Office operations and in-country experience in culturally diverse regions. Georgie has a good understanding of INGOs, international development divisions of management consultancies, bilateral and multilateral agencies across a wide range of sectors. Presently she leads the HR team that supports Coffey's international development programs in the Asia Pacific region.

Lucia Gauci

Lucia has worked in the Australian Government in various Operational, Management and Leadership roles for over 25years, developing skills and experience in Learning and Development, Change Management and Human Resource Management. Lucia joined the World Youth International Board in 2013 and has held various roles with sporting clubs, school committees and service organisations. In 2008, Lucia completed a trek to the first base camp on Mt Everest in Nepal and was left with a lasting impression of the people that live along the route.

Ann Hoey
Secretary

Ann is a founding member of World Youth International and has worked in various roles within the organisation, including program manager and overseas team leader, and she is the current child sponsorship coordinator for Nepal. Ann served as a Director of World Youth International for over 22 years and is now the Secretary.
