Community Health Centre

We need your help

The Odede Community Health Centre is growing in size and impact every year, but there is still so much work to do.

We need your help to continue providing crucial healthcare services for people living in extreme poverty in rural Western Kenya; join us in our venture to sponsor our Australian and Kenyan nurses to provide vital health care, to help expectant mothers give birth safely and nurse their babies; to buy medicines to treat malaria and typhoid, as well as vaccines and medicines to manage preventable, life-threatening illnesses in children.

The Odede Health Centre is supported and run predominantly by nurses and midwives from Kenya and Australia. The Centre urgently needs Friends to help pay for the costs associated with treating thousands of patients every year. Many of the patients are too poor to pay medical fees, and so the Health Centre needs extra help so it can continue to provide care for those who need it most.

Join Friends of Odede to support our nurses and midwives, to give much needed health care to the people of Kenya

Ultimately, the Odede Health Centre's goal in partnership with World Youth International is to achieve a fully self sustainable model which is the objective of all WYI major projects. Your financial support now will not only help provide the resources to address the Centre's immediate needs but will also allow it to continue its path to become a long term, sustainable asset that will benefit the surrounding communities for years to come.

If you wish to do more to help, invite 5 friends to join our cause

We are also keen to hear from you if you would like to help further, by joining a small team of committed volunteers who are willing to coordinate twice yearly fundraising events on behalf of The Odede Health Centre for the long term.
